Geo, a Certified Evans Method Modern Dance Instructor hailing from Japan, brings a unique blend of traditional and contemporary dance styles to the stage.

His diverse training includes Japanese sword dance under Kensei Namiki, traditional swordsmanship with Ken Morita, Japanese Butoh dance with masters Yoshito Ohno, Yukio Waguri, and Seisaku, American Modern Dance with Bill Evans, Angela Dennis, and the Pilobolus Dance Company, Central Asian and Persian dances with Narah Bint Durr, and Hawaiian Hula Kahiko with Aunty Lani.

Geo's impressive career includes residencies at the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance in 2012, the Center for Remembering and Sharing in New York City, and Leimay at Cave in Brooklyn, both in 2016. He has been a staple performer of Japanese sword dance at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's events almost every year since 2009. Known for his ability to integrate various dance disciplines into original solo pieces, Geo's performances are always a unique spectacle.

This New Year's Eve, Geo will captivate the audience with a Hawaiian Hula Kahiko dance featuring fire torches, followed by an exhilarating fire dance with three additional props.
