Best Restaurants Features The Delicious Synergy of Talia and Valozzi's
By Olivia Miller
At Best Restaurants, we welcome Downtown Pittsburgh staples Talia and Valozzi’s to present their delectable dishes to guests. The establishments, which are both products of culinary mastermind Julian Valozzi, specialize in upscale, delicious Italian gastronomy.
Valozzi’s Pittsburgh
Valozzi’s humble beginnings date all the way back to 1955 when namesake Helen Vallozzi started a small gnocchi business in her basement. As her business grew, she moved into a small storefront in Latrobe before expanding and settling in Greensburg, a location that is still thriving today.
Though Vallozzi’s is best known for their gnocchi, the restaurant boasts an extensive menu of other Italian delicacies. They have perfected every part of a meal with appetizers like their hearty, doughy focaccia to desserts like their rich, buttery bread pudding. There is surely no better companion to entrees like their mushroom ravioli than a smooth glass of one of their California wines.
Talia
Since 2017, Talia has brought contemporary takes on Italian classics to the foodies of Downtown Pittsburgh and beyond.
The restaurant’s menu is extravagant and features everything from pasta to pizza to meat, seafood and homemade focaccia bread. The magic of their cooking is enhanced by their open kitchen concept which features a custom fire rotisserie, cooking their porchetta, chicken, vegetables and pizza right in front of diners’ eyes.
If you found your mouth watering while reading the above information, tickets for Best Restaurants are on sale now and can be purchased through Eventbrite here.
