Downtown Date Night: Wicks & Sips

By Layla Joseph

Wigle Whiskey, located at 2401 Smallman St, has teamed up with PGH Candle to give Pittsburghers the chance to sip libations and smell their own creations while supporting two local businesses.

For $40 per ticket, Wigle Whiskey pours you a handcrafted cocktail while you pour wax to create your own candle.

The two hour long Wicks and Sips event starts at 6 p.m. on September 14th and allows you to create a 100% soy wax souvenir with a guiding hand and custom event label from PGH Candle.

Leave the house and head to the Strip for a relaxing and hands-on evening. With four fall fragrances to choose from, including PGH Candle’s limited edition whiskey scent, make a 12 ounce candle that is perfect for your home.

Show up between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to make your candle and, while it sets, order some food or drinks for Wigle Whiskey. Don’t forget your debit card, because the restaurant doesn’t accept cash.

Grab a bite before the class and enjoy happy hour for $2 discounts on classic cocktails, threadbare cider draft pours and select appetizers.

No matter how hungry you are, Wigle Whiskey can satisfy your needs. With an extensive menu including appetizers, small plates, salads, sandwiches and entrees, it’s a perfect place for dinner or just a bite to hold you over.

Indulge in Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream for dessert, with rotating flavors at Wigle Whiskey, you don’t need to travel far to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Only 40 tickets for this event are being sold. Register for the event online before it’s sold out and place a reservation with Wigle Whiskey from the comfort of your home.
