Take a Seat at The Newly Renovated Greer Cabaret Theater

By Layla Joseph

Greer Cabaret Theater is presenting artistic performances and culinary showstoppers in the Cultural District, a project the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust brought to the people of Pittsburgh.

Setting the new scene with upscale decor, moody lighting and intimate seating, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust stole the show yet again.

Pittsburghers are invited to visit the newly renovated Greer Cabaret Theater at 655 Penn Ave. to experience a night of entertainment with enhanced lighting, sound and equipment to ensure the shows run smoothly.

Arrive at the Greer Cabaret early and indulge in their new menu options. The Prelude Menu features various small plates, entrees and desserts. If you don’t want a full meal, arrive 30-minutes before the show and choose the Bistro Cabaret Snack Menu or take a sip from an extensive selection of hand-crafted cocktails, wine and beer.

End the summer by getting a preview of The Lounge and experiencing free entertainment by registering to see Pittsburgh-based guitarist John Marcinizyn on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Starting Sept. 22, Pittsburgh CLO presents “Tick, Tick…BOOM!” a musical that follows the journey of Jonathan Larson as he navigates his way to becoming a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning composer.

To accompany the performance is the option to indulge in a three-course meal that is inspired by the show.

For a fixed price of $54, including gratuity, start your meal by choosing between the “Times Square” Roasted Baby Beet Salad curated with locally sourced greens, pistachio and a horseradish buttermilk vinaigrette or an Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad garnished with olive oil and basil vinaigrette.

For the main course, choose one of three entrees, including “Superbia,” Angus short rib, “No More,” wild mushroom cannelloni or “Therapy,” confit chicken.

Finish the savory meal with something sweet and enjoy a cookie plate featuring macarons, madeleines and vegan chocolate chip cookies.

In addition to the running musical, scheduled concerts and future events will allow Pittsburghers to immerse themselves in an entertaining evening at the Cultural District.
