Food, Fashion and Musical Fun at the Backyard

Are fashion gurus of Pittsburgh looking to shake up their summer look? Look no further than Wednesdays at the Backyard on 8th and Penn as presented by the Downtown Neighbors Alliance and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust! Starting July 31st through the end of September, spend your Wednesday nights from 6 - 8 pm browsing Downtown’s best local fashion and jewelry designers. 

With over 30 of Pittsburgh’s best designers displaying their specialized apparel, you’re bound to find the right aesthetic for your wardrobe. Vendors will be presenting iconic items from their collections, as well as their brand-new seasonal items, allowing you to craft your perfect summer outfit! 

For those interested in accessorizing, you’re in luck! Several jewelry designers will be featured at the Backyard, displaying a wide array of gold, silver, and mixed metals to elevate your aesthetic. 

Each night, there will be 2-4 local food trucks hosting a variety of flavors for you to choose from! If you plan on visiting this fashionable event, you can expect to see some of your favorites at the event, such as the Roaming Bean, Hermes Food Truck, Kona Ice, and many more! 

Fashion isn’t the only art form you’ll encounter while shopping at the Backyard. While browsing Pittsburgh’s latest looks, you can expect to enjoy live musical performances from some of Pittsburgh’s up-and-coming artists! There will be one performer per night, ranging from genres such as indie/alternative, DJ, R&B, singer/songwriters, and flamenco.
