The DNA Welcomes Jeremy Rudkin & Dean Welch to our Board

The Downtown Neighbors Alliance would be nowhere without the support and dedication of our board members. We have recently welcomed two new board members: Jeremy Rudkin of Strassburger, McKenna, Gutnick, & Gefsky and Dean Welch of McCaffery. We look forward to learning from their expertise as we continue to move Downtown forward. See below to learn more about them:

Jeremy Rudkin 

Jeremy Rudkin is a shareholder at Pittsburgh law firm, Strassburger, McKenna, Gutnick, & Gefsky. 

He is also a Pittsburgh native who attended Indiana University to obtain his Bachelor’s in science and kinesiology before attending Duquesne Law School to obtain his J.D in 2011. Along with his background in law, he also has a background in sports business having worked with a firm that negotiated professional players’ contracts. 

Before joining SMGG, Jeremy spent five years as a real estate, corporate, and financial services litigation attorney for two nationally acclaimed firms. 

At SMGG, his work focuses on real estate development, leasing projects, acquisitions, and sales, including the sale, leasing, and purchase of condo development projects, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, shopping centers, and apartment complexes. He is also a Pennsylvania licensed title agent and oversees all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions. 

Through his career, Jeremy has been known for his attention and commitment to his clients. When he is out of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, traveling, attending sporting events, and playing basketball and golf. 

Dean Welch 

Dean Welch is the vice president of operations at real estate firm McCaffery in Pittsburgh and also acts as the region’s senior development, construction and investment officer. 

Before joining McCaffery, he attended DePaul University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in real estate and finance. He then went on to work with Mid-America Real Estate Group and obtained his PA Managing Broker’s License. 

A licensed real estate broker, he joined McCaffery in 2014 as Project Manager of Development and Construction. He has managed many local projects including The Terminal in Pittsburgh’s Historic Strip District, the development of 1600 Smallman. He has also managed projects in Chicago including the development of Twelve01West, Chicago Lakeside Development, McCaffery’s Chicago West Loop, and 1115 W Fulton. He has also worked on projects for organizations like The University of Chicago and Stockbridge Real Estate. 

When he is out of the office, Dean sits on the Community Development Review Committee for Strip District Neighbors, and is an active member of Pittsburgh's NAIOP chapter.
