This week, we had the absolute pleasure of visiting Rivers Club Pittsburgh—and not just for the food (though, wow, the food). We were personally invited by Rosie Fisher, the General Manager, and Jordan Woyt, their Membership Director, for a tour and a taste of what River’s Club has to offer. Spoiler: it's a lot.

First up: Soup of the Day. I tried a cozy, flavor-packed carrot and tomato-based broth with vegetables and ziti. It was the kind of soup that makes you want to cancel your afternoon and curl up in a good way—comforting, nourishing, and clearly made with love.

Then came the Lobster Salad Grilled Cheese, a true indulgence. Think: Maine lobster, finely chopped celery and onion, swirled with basil-tarragon mayo, melty havarti cheese, and juicy tomato on rich, golden challah bread. This isn’t just lunch. This is a sandwich that writes its own LinkedIn bio.

For something lighter (but just as satisfying), we tried the Roasted Faroe Island Salmon from the Clean and Simple section of the menu. Served over basmati rice with a fresh vegetable medley, it hits all the marks for clean eating: 604 kcal | 55g carbs | 23g fat | 41g protein.
Here’s the best part: that Clean and Simple menu? That’s Rosie’s baby. She personally curates it for members who work out and want food that supports their fitness goals. She selects each dish with purpose—and even ensures calories and protein counts are listed. It’s thoughtful, it’s practical, and it’s one of the many reasons River’s Club feels like it’s truly for its members.
Speaking of working out, can we talk about the gym? It's huge, modern, and downright beautiful. Whether you’re doing cardio, weights, or just want to stare at the equipment while digesting your lunch (no judgment), it’s a standout amenity you’ll actually want to use.
And the cherry on top? Rosie, Jordan, and the whole team welcomed us with such genuine warmth and hospitality. From the moment we stepped in, we felt like VIPs.
So if you’re looking for a downtown spot that nails the trifecta—amazing food, wellness-focused thinking, and a welcoming atmosphere—River’s Club is it.
Pro tip: Come for the lobster. Stay for the soup. Thank Rosie for the salmon. And maybe book a gym session while you’re at it. 🥣🧀🐟💪
