On Tuesday, April 30th, from 5 PM to 8 PM, the Pittsburgh 2050 Comprehensive Plan Team is hosting the Public Forum on a Just Transition at the CCAC Allegheny Campus. The evening will focus on what a fair and healthy transition for the city’s future could look like, with community input at the heart of the discussion.

Stevasana Juice: Pittsburgh OG Juicer’s Fresh Downtown Pop-Up
Stevasana Juice & Food Company, located at 210 Forbes Ave in Market Square, is Pittsburgh’s “OG Juicer.” They are open 8 am-2 pm, Monday through Saturday. Stevasana was founded in 2009 by Steve Bland with a mission to offer Pittsburgh the natural nutrition of 100% freshly squeezed fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Stevasana uses sustainable, organic, and local ingredients, making them the ideal spot for Pittsburgh juice enthusiasts and beginners alike. The pop-up storefront, opened in summer 2024, was made possible through the PDP’s Project Pop-Up program.
De Fer Coffee & Tea: Pittsburgh Coffee Company Opens Location Downtown
De Fer Coffee & Tea is a family and employee-owned and operated coffee company, founded in 2017 by Matt and Vanessa Marietti. In January, with support from PDP’s Downtown Rent Abatement Program, De Fer opened a location in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Cultural District, at 725 Penn Avenue. This new Downtown hotspot is open 7:30am-2:30pm Monday through Friday and 8am-3pm Saturday and Sunday. De Fer Coffee & Tea also has locations at the flagship store in the Strip District, Troy Hill, the CMU library, and The Riviera.
DNA Downtown Dialogues Series: Panel Kickoff This June
The Downtown Neighbors Alliance (DNA) is excited to launch its highly anticipated Downtown Dialogues discussion series on downtown development. This inaugural panel will be held on June 11, 7pm, on Point Park Campus in Lawrence Hall, Room 200. The topic for this panel will be retail development. For each panel discussion, there will be a moderator and 3-4 panelists.

Sustainable Pittsburgh Names Bhavini Patel Executive Director
In January, Sustainable Pittsburgh declared Bhavini Patel new Executive Director of the organization. She succeeded Joylette Portlock, Ph.D, who served for six years. Sustainable Pittsburgh is a nonprofit in Downtown that works to share sustainable knowledge, implement sustainable practices, and advance their mission of equity, environmental, and economic success.
