Carnegie Museum of Art’s Inside Out Provides Family Fun All Summer Long

By Layla Joseph

Carnegie Museum of Art has been hosting Inside Out, a free event that showcases all that Pittsburgh has to offer, on Thursday nights and Saturday afternoons in the Sculpture Court since June.

The series of events is ending, but there is still time to participate before the final event on August 24.

On Thursday, get out to the Sculpture Court from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. to enjoy music from DJs Desert Hearts and VELVET while sipping local brews and beverages at the cash bar.

PGH Halal Food Truck will serve Mediterranean and American dishes like gyros, Falafel over rice, hot dogs, fries and nonalcoholic beverages.

To end the third season of Inside Out, Saturday is a bit different from the usual family-friendly events. From 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday, enjoy music and the outside air at the 21 and over party at the Sculpture Court.

A cash bar will be serving drinks and Caribbean Vybz Food Truck will be serving up Jamaican cuisine. With multiple DJs and musical guests, good vibes and food, this party is a great way to celebrate the end of summer.

The final Inside Out event on August 24 will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and features music from DJs in Brighter Wavs.

Brighter Wavs consists of three DJs, two of which are Pittsburgh-based, and aim to bring joy to the community with their sound. With a strong knowledge of music and good vibes, these three will set the mood for an enjoyable evening.

Authentic Mexican food will join the lineup with El Rincon Oaxaqueno Food Truck. Indulge in burritos, tacos, nachos and more while you groove and gather throughout the night. Like the other events, a cash bar will be at the Sculpture Court to keep the crowd hydrated.

Get tickets to experience the Carnegie Museum of Art before heading to the Inside Out event and make a day of experiencing Pittsburgh culture.
