The Best Meal We Ate This Week: Primo Hoagies

This week, the DNA staff took advantage of the sunny weather and took a walk to Primo Hoagies’ new location on Penn Avenue. We each ordered one of their hoagies stuffed to the brim with meat, cheeses, and vegetables. After taking everything into consideration from the fresh, fluffy bread they were served on to their faultless toppings-to-meat-to-bread ratio, we could not determine a conclusive answer as to which one we liked the best.

Their old-world style meatball hoagie had the perfect balance of spicy, sharp, and creamy notes from its hearty meatballs, rich red sauce, and sharp blend of provolone and romano cheeses. The ham and cheese hoagie was piled high with thinly sliced ham, american cheese, and crispy lettuce. We recommend adding vinegar on top for a salty kick. Lastly, the philly cheesesteak was toasted to perfection with lean roast beef and melty cheese all topped with a generous portion of lettuce.
