Andy Warhol, born in Pittsburgh in 1928, was one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. He played a key role in the Pop Art Movement, transforming everyday objects into striking works of art. His ability to merge commercial imagery with artistic expression changed how people viewed modern art.

Eight years ago, Downtown Pittsburgh welcomed its first dedicated off-leash dog park, a milestone driven by the Downtown Neighbors Alliance (DNA). Located on the corner of 9th Street and Fort Duquesne Boulevard, this park was the answer to a growing need in the city. With a rising number of pet owners moving into high-rise apartments and condos, DNA recognized that urban pups needed a safe space to run and play freely.

Alchemy Bar and Kitchen invites you to experience a different way to dine Downtown. Since the grand opening of Alchemy on March 22, 2023 the restaurant has been a desired destination in the Golden Triangle.

This week the DNA editorial staff went to Downtown’s outstanding Argentinian restaurant, Gaucho Parrilla Argentina, for lunch. We meticulously pondered over the menu, deciding between their sizable salads, towering sandwiches, or some of their tasty small plates. We decided on ordering a selection of their empanadas.

Best Restaurants, which was originally scheduled for July 27th, has been postponed until November 2nd. While planning the event and coordinating with restaurants and guests, we realized how busy a month July is for many Pittsburghers.

The DNA staff had lunch at Buon Giorno Cafe. The three staff members selected the chicken and pesto wrap, the chicken caesar salad, and the eggplant parmesan sandwich.

Hailed as Pittsburgh’s most authentic sports bar, RedBeard’s will attend Best Restaurants to offer guests samples of their classic dishes.

This week, the DNA staff treated ourselves to a lavish lunch at Ritual House, which was undoubtedly the best meal we ate this week. We started our meal off with their she-crab bisque, one of their newest menu items, and were amazed at the creaminess of the soup. It was so good that we even forgot to take a photo of it.
